ORTHOPAEDIC WARD

Admissions in orthopedic ward increased from 590 in 2010 to 633 in 2011 representing 3.6% increase in cases. The ward performed better in 2010 than 2011 in terms of percentage bed occupancy rate which decreased from 84.4% to 75.2%. The 75.2% bed occupancy rate performance means that out of 50 available beds only 38 were fully utilized during the year.
